What we agree when you use Centra

What they cover

These terms are for Centra, EmmaTech's system to run a business in one place, used at centra.emmatechcr.com. By creating a Centra account you accept them.

Websites and custom systems are governed by each project's quote, which is in writing. The free tools on this site are used as they are, with no account and no warranty.

The account

Whoever signs the business up becomes its administrator. They invite the other people, decide which part each one sees and are responsible for what their users do in Centra. Everyone keeps their password safe and doesn't share it.

Each business has its own account and its own subscription. Its data is kept apart from any other business's.

The free trial

When you sign up you get 14 days with all of Centra, without paying anything or giving a card. We email you before they end. If you don't choose a plan by then, the same happens as when a payment doesn't arrive, and your data is still yours.

Plans and payments

• Monthly: $19 a month, or ₡8,900 by SINPE Móvil.
• Yearly: $190 a year, or ₡89,000 by SINPE Móvil.

Both come with all of Centra and as many users as you need. With PayPal the subscription renews on its own and PayPal charges every month or every year. By SINPE Móvil you send us the receipt, we check the money arrived and we add the time to your subscription. If you subscribe during the trial, the first charge falls when the trial ends.

If we ever change the prices, we email you at least 30 days before, and what you already paid doesn't change.

Cancelling

You cancel whenever you want, with no contract and no penalty. With PayPal you do it in Centra, under Settings, Subscription. By SINPE Móvil you just don't renew. What you already paid still counts until its date, and nothing else is charged.

If a payment doesn't arrive

• For the first seven days Centra keeps working as usual, and we email you.
• After that it becomes read-only. You can see, search and download all your data, but not add or change anything.
• Three months later the business's data is deleted for good. Before that we write to you twice, 30 and 7 days before, with the link to download it.

If you pay at any time before it's deleted, everything comes back just as you left it.

Your data

What you keep in Centra belongs to your business. You download all of it whenever you want from Settings, The business, each table separately to open in Excel. We don't sell it, we use it only to give you the service, and we only enter your account if you ask us to help you. The rest is in the privacy policy.

What Centra doesn't do

• It doesn't issue Hacienda's electronic invoice. Centra's invoices are for keeping your sales and payments, and they don't replace the electronic receipts the law requires of you.
• Payroll is worked out with the rules you give it. Check your business's social charges and withholdings with your accountant before paying.

Keeping it working

We do everything we can to keep Centra available at all times, and we keep backups of your data. Even so, there may be moments when it doesn't respond, because of maintenance or failures in the services it depends on. And if it's your internet that goes down, Centra keeps working on the device where you were already using it, and catches up when it's back.

Proper use

Centra is for running your business. It isn't used for anything illegal, nobody tries to get into another business's data or into parts of the system that aren't theirs, and it isn't resold as one's own. If someone does, we can close their account.

How far we're responsible

If something fails through our fault, we fix it as fast as we can. Our responsibility for any damage goes up to what you paid us in the last twelve months, except where Costa Rican law doesn't allow it to be limited.

Changes to these terms

If they change, we email you at least 30 days before, and the date above changes too. If you don't agree with the change, you can cancel and download your data.

The law

These terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica.
